Live Game Tonight

Played in a live game tonight with a friend from work and pretty much crushed it. Structure was $20 min buy-in with 25c/50c blinds. For those of you that have been reading this for a while this is the same home game that I wrote about previously. Last time I went (which was the first time I had been to this particular game) I spent the whole time not really trying to win, but watching everyone. Watching betting patterns, watching for tells, watching the percentage of hands played. I knew I was going to lose money but I wanted to spend the night in research to see if the game could be profitable in the long run. Because of this I ended up down about $40 for the night.

Tonight I more than made up for the losses. I bought in for $20 and used all the info that I gathered in my first trip there to eventually cash out for $84 (without re-buying). I didn't win many pots (less than ten all night I think), but the ones that I did were massive (including one $70 pot where I slow played KK and was lucky enough to get a couple of raisers behind me, two of which who then called my subsequent preflop all-in). All in all a good night. I will be adding the $64 profit from tonight into my online Bankroll through Neteller within the next couple of days.
