Finally Experienced the Variance
Well I finally experienced a variance weekend. In layman's terms this means that I lost :P In NL Hold 'em you are not going to win all the time. Even the best players experience downswings from time to time. In my case I have been very lucky to not have experienced any tremendous variance so far, but this weekend I did lose. No serious bad beats, I just played pretty bad for some reason. I was overplaying high pocket pairs and playing crap hands from early position. I was discouraged at first, but I just told myself that it happens to everyone and if I wanna play this game I have to take the good along with the bad. And that is why I am posting this. I don't want you readers to get the impression that this is free money. There is a lot of work involved and there is a chance that you can lose from time to time. This weekend was just my time.
I ended with $638 in the account for a loss of $72 (3 buy-ins). As far as downswings go this is not bad at all. I just hope that the variance is over and I can get back to winning again :P
note: I still have not deposited the $64 that I won in the live game so technically I have $702.

Hey Dude, I just wanted to drop in let you know that I think this is TOTALLY impressive. Not the variance, but the whole deal. Keep it up. I have bookmarked you and will be checking back often.
